Dorothy Parker New York Gin 750mL

Dorothy Parker was a famous New Yorker, made popular by poems, plays, and working for the New Yorker/Vanity Fair. Dorothy Parker gin is – okay. It’s an interesting gamble by the New York Distilling Co. (props though for making a NY spirit while in NY unlike some folks). Aultmore Speyside 12 Yr. Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1L

Because today’s Christmas eve we decided to review a gift we got ourselves. Don’t worry whiskey is still going to be every other Wednesday, today’s a one-off because this whiskey is rather special. This has that summer floral notes in spades, and because of that – there’s a problem. For most people this is simply not for them, and really meant for a hyper niche group of folks, and we have to judge it as such.

Keel ‘KV’ Vodka 750mL

That’s because this rests at a 23.8% ALC/VOL or 47.6 proof. Maybe this is down to the specific distilling process, or watering down – but what you get is something that is nice, and yet fails to complete the job?
