Sebago Bourbon Barrel Stout
Sebago Bourbon Barrel Stout: 4.0 – See the problem I have now when it comes to beers doing specifically bourbon barrel aging is that it’s a misguided attempt (as is the case here), because it just makes the beer too sweet, and not really something you enjoy drinking, but then I remember Allagash when they did their Black in bourbon barrels, and then wonder why everyone else is having such a hard time with it.

Weyerbacher Blasphemy Quadrupel Ale
Weyerbacher Blasphemy Quadrupel Ale: 5.0 – Because this quad is also aged, it’s simply way too mellow of a beer, even for a quad style ale. It’s certainly not a bad beer, but it feels like drinking a heavy cream or something with a bunch of spices.
Google Shop Average: Weyerbacher Blasphemy Quadrupel Ale $9

Lagavulin 16 Year Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 750mL
In place of an article this week for one of my favorite scotches of all time, I have a video instead. Make no mistake I too enjoy Lagavulin as much as that man, and my brevity comes not from a lack of desire to write about the scotch, but that really nothing more needs to be said. This is in my top 10 of greatest things I have ever drunk in my life.
Shiner Kosmos Reserve
Shiner Kosmos Reserve: 5.5 – I’ve been told this is basically a watered down version of a previous American Pale they had. Much like the beer it’s not that I’m angry about it, but I’m mostly just disappointed and disinterested.
Google Shop Average: Shiner Kosmos Reserve $7 for 6-Pack (with mixed pack)

Shiner Premium Beer
Shiner Premium Beer: 5.0 – This is certainly another contender for the most beer-y beer brand beer out there.

Admiral Nelson Premium Spiced Rum 750mL
Well continuing where the Lady Bligh left off let’s move on to some more spiced rums. The good news here is that it doesn’t not have an awful aftertaste, by which I mean it just really has no taste. Unless vanilla is a taste, then it has a lot of that.
Straffe Hendrick Trippel
Straffe Hendrick Trippel: 6.5 – Here we have another Straffe Hendrik beer, this time the trippel instead of the quad. Overall I think they did a better job with the quad as this while still a good trippel, is only moderately above average.
Google Shop Average: Straffe Hendrick Trippel $12
