Samuel Adams Escape Route
Samuel Adams Escape Route: 5.0 – Another limited release – but then at least with Sam it’s likely this will be made again. It’s a fairly good Spring beer (that was available mid-February…) but as far as Kolsch go, it’s really not doing much.
Google Shop Average: Samuel Adams Escape Route $8 for 6-Pack

Allagash FV-13
Allagash FV-13: 9.0 – This is by far one of the weirdest beers I’ve ever had, and also one my favorites. It’s kindred spirit is Allagash’s Interlude with it’s wine combo taste, but this is like a tier above. If I had a problem with this beer is that it was a limited short batch, and aside from a rare occurrence you will likely never find it. If you do, please contact me.
Seriously.

Lady Bligh Spiced Rum 750mL
Well that’s the end of our concentrated effort to handle some more tequilas and light rums, now we’re back to randomly doing whatever we desire. So in a true bit of randomness – we chose a rum. Because probability.
Jolly Pumpkin Dark Dawn Stout
Jolly Pumpkin Dark Dawn Stout: 5.5 – We’ve always seen Jolly Pumpkin’s offerings at our local store, and never picked them up. I fear it will be a while before we do so again as while this was an okay stout, it was very middling.
Google Shop Average: Jolly Pumpkin Dark Dawn Stout $15

Bear Republic Big Bear Black Stout
Bear Republic Big Bear Black Stout: 7.5 – This is my favorite budget stout. Nothing I know of has as much taste and flavor for a big beer stout that costs as little as this does. I highly recommend picking this up as even regardless of the price it is a damn good stout.

Shellback White Rum 750mL
Apologies once again for neglecting the posts around last weekend – I and others had some very important business to attend too at the Boston Convention Center (Pax East). We are back however this time continuing our journey into white rums and tequilas.
Ommegang Fire and Blood
Ommegang Fire and Blood: 6.5 – Finally a Game of Thrones beer that actually has substance. The chili and spice her really give this beer a unique taste, but it doesn’t make it too powerful like say a Dogfish Head beer might. You still get a nice beer with your spice, and while it pains me as a fan to prefer the Targaryen beer – I do.
Editor’s Note – Stock image as I tasted this while at Boston’s Tavern at The End of the World
Google Shop Average: Ommegang Fire and Blood $20
