Norway Brewing Co. Mild Joe Ale
Mild Joe: 6.0 – It’s a coffee style ale, but the black coffee like flavor is too much. And there’s no real cream or roasted elements as much with a more traditional coffee flavoring.
Price Average: $6 draft

West Cork Single Malt Irish Whiskey 10yr 750mL
We all know (or maybe not) that all spirits are filtered (unless rarely as otherwise noted) and that usually this filtering goes through charcoal. Now one would think that said charcoal filtering doesn’t really go into the product, and it’s not like your barbeque variety coal is what’s used. At least that’s supposed to be the way, but here it’s suspect.
Earth Eagle Indian Summer Gose
Indian Summer Gose: 7.0 – It’s certainly a sour gose, but that plum gives it a nice mellow aftertaste that is quite enjoyable. Overall its nice to drink without puckering your mouth too much.
Price Average: $11 for 4-pack

Stolen Smoked Rum 750mL
What a stupid fucken concept. Drat, we’ve made the premise clear too early once again. It’s some rum, they smoke it for some reason? It has this child’s idea of being a stolen spirit. Oh right, and another thing – it tastes like shit. Double drat – well let’s get into it.
Dogfish Head Seaquench Session Sour Ale
Seaquench: 5.0 – For a Dogfish Head sour you expect this to be truly out of the box, but aside from the sea salt and lime that makes you think more of a Corona served in a marg glass this is just average
Price Average: $11 for 6-pack

Crooked Stave Vieille Artisanal Saison
Crooked Stave Vieille Artisanal Saison: 6.0 – It’s a little on the tart side. The oak aging has done some good things here, and overall it’s a tasty saison.
Price Average: $4

Trago Reposado 750mL
Long, long ago there was a website similar to HBR, with a similar goal to try the worst of the worst to the best of the best, but with no preference between. They once wrote of a review of this tequila comparing its perfection to Keira Knightley in that there’s no single aspect that makes it perfect, but the entire thing – oh yes. While we may be harsher critics than they, it’s hard to deny they were on to something.
