Wachusett Imperial Pumpkin Ale: 5.5 – We’re going to spend this week finishing off our backlog of pumpkin beers as they are really about to go out of season. While this lacks either a strong pumpkin flavor or Pumpkinhead’s supreme drinkability this is a passable pumpkin ale.

White Birch Indulgence Ale: 4.5 – I’m not sure what exactly I was expecting with this, but as far as “Indulgence” goes this feels very weak and normal, nothing really indulging, or heavy or flavorful that makes it worthy of the title. It’s not a light ale or not without flavor, but it’s really no different than an amber or brown ale.

White Birch Birchwood Smoked Stout: 6.5 – To be fair this score is based on other smoked stouts, and sadly it’s pretty much average comparatively, and yet there’s one aspect that makes it better – in that because it’s not bourbon barrel aged it doesn’t make it sickeningly sweet.

603 Brewery Winni Ale Amber Ale: 3.5 – As far as Amber Ales go I was not a huge fan of this, categorically it wasn’t bad, nor was it something where it was just distinctive, it just felt so underwhelming. Amber ale’s are usually the bread and butter of brewing companies where it’s often very high-middle of the road, and they go out from there.

Shipyard Mint Chocolate Stout: 5.5 – I admit I was rather excited by this due to Shipyard’s record of flavored beers (Pumpkinhead comes to mind); however the taste here is sadly just not enough mint. You get those chocolate flavors, and the stout is still there, and then like a whisper the mint is at the end, and it’s just a bit too weak.

Plum Island Belgian White: 5.5 
Another unfiltered Belgian White beer made with Coriander and Orange Peel. This is something that has become commonplace for most beer companies to do and is about the fifth new one I have tried. Though it may be boring, it doesn’t mean it isn’t good. Sold in cans which makes it one of the best beers I had ever had from a can. Fairly average but good.

Boneshaker Brown Ale: 6 – Very easy drinking, goes down smoothly, but the taste is classic brown ale. I see why it comes in the can.

Altitude Alt Bier: 7.75 – Certainly goes down nicely, and the taste is quite good, quite a lot of layers there and it’s just overall a very enjoyable beer. Looking back this one of our preferred finds of late.

Hayride Autumn Ale: 6.25 – Got a good initial taste to it, and it certainly has got a bunch of nice flavors, very festive. The Buffalo however is not a huge fan of the aftertaste, which reminds him of Pumpking (not a good thing.)

Fogbuster Coffeehouse Ale: 6.75 – Slightly different to be expected being an ale, instead of a porter) for a coffeehouse. It’s certainly a good beer, and being me I like that even though the coffee is strong, it’s not overwhelming. Quite good.
