Shiner Premium Beer: 5.0 – This is certainly another contender for the most beer-y beer brand beer out there.

Well continuing where the Lady Bligh left off let’s move on to some more spiced rums. The good news here is that it doesn’t not have an awful aftertaste, by which I mean it just really has no taste. Unless vanilla is a taste, then it has a lot of that.
Straffe Hendrick Trippel: 6.5 – Here we have another Straffe Hendrik beer, this time the trippel instead of the quad. Overall I think they did a better job with the quad as this while still a good trippel, is only moderately above average.

Rick & Robbie’s Sprocket Bier: 1.0 – Stone has betrayed me once again, this time however instead of being pretty par for the course, it’s actually downright fucken awful. See I saw Kolsch, and thought yes, then I saw black – and thought YES! Then I tasted it, and my god it tastes like sour farts. This is certainly the worst tasting beer I’ve had this year, and possibly in top 5 for all time.

First I want to say this, when you name is capitalized like that – you automatically lose points on the honesty metric of our ‘objective’ scoring system. I wish that wasn’t the case, that a scotch can just be what it wants and doesn’t need to abide by your rules man – but then scotches shouldn’t be American punk bands calling us the man instead of just punching us in the face like a real scot would. You hear that scotch – I want you to hit me – as hard as you can.
Ovila Dubbel: 6.0 – It’s not as ‘meaty’ as a dubbel as I would like, but it certainly has a nice diversity of flavor to it. While I’ve had better dubbels, I would still recommend this.
Google Shop Average: Name $10
LaTrappe Quadrupel Trappist Ale: 5.0 – This came to me highly suggested by a fellow member at the wine tasting, but it was just kinda too fruity and banana-y for my tastes concerning quads. It’s certainly not bad, and I see how to the right person it could be great – if that person was a fan of banana beer.

Well then I think it’s about time we seriously started moving into reviewing the previously untapped market for us – namely tequilas that are not silver. In order to ease this more than previous attempts – we decided to grab the reposado of a silver that we actually like.
