The Collective Brewing Project ‘Suspicious Delicious’ Tart Saison
Suspicious Delicious: 6.5 – With a ‘thing’ like that going on the bottle you’d expect this to be mind-blowing – but it’s not. We will give it the suspicious delicious because while tart this does manage to find a nice balance between that tart and the saison making it less of a sour and more of an interesting saison.

Buchanan’s Deluxe 12 Yr. Blended Scotch Whisky 750mL
This does have one of the dreaded ‘kickstart’ pour spouts that have accumulated only ire on this fair website. We got around that with some clippers, but even the results are not terribly pretty. In all, fuck you. Now let’s get to the whiskey itself.
Upslope Brewing Company Rocky Mountain Kolsch
Rocky Mountain Kolsch: 4.0 – There’s an herbal sort of aspect here or at least some kind of vegetation that’s not like wheat. It feels slightly odd for a kolsch and it’s not terribly tasty.

Blue Chair Bay Premium Blend Spiced Rum 750mL
After the abysmal failure that was Bumbu rum a few weeks past we were honestly a bit scared to try another rum so soon, and when the aroma was more on the sweeter side it sent our head spinning. Thankfully Blue Chair is not cut from the same cloth, but is also a bit of a weird breed given it’s via Kenny Chesney.
Crooked Stave Von Pilsner
Von Pilsner: 6.0 – It has a sort of wood or honey-like flavor to it. There’s definitely something to that effect beyond just hops and wheat. Overall it’s a nice delicious beer.

DC Brau Washington Blade ‘Pride Pils’ Pilsner
Pride Pils: 5.0 – It’s a tiny bit hoppy for a pils, but otherwise forgettably average. Yeah. not really much to say here. The can is very pretty and the cause is nice.

Sobieski 100% Pure Rye Vodka 750mL
We’ve previously had their ‘estate’ vodka, but how about the original? Well if their special version wasn’t a great showing it’d be odd if the original was better – thankfully that’s not the case really. This really only scores higher overall because it is (thank god) cheaper.
