If you are looking for vodka that works well in a creamy white Russian- this is a good vodka. If that’s all you want or need to know, best to stop here and leave. This vodka has a series of various faults, but we are honour bound to speak truth to its capabilities.
Geuze Boon: 5.5 – By god that has a lot of head, no matter what you do it’s just massive. There’s a fruit/brett like flavor here, with a bunch of wheat like flavors mixed in. It’s an otherwise okay beer in the space it exists in. Meaning that other lambic and sour wheat ales are just frankly getting better.

Gneiss Brewing Co. Weisse: 6.5 – A nice bit of banana, but an otherwise light and easy drinking beer with not much else going on.

Happy Memorial Day everyone, hopefully, you are enjoying the nice weather with some barbeques, some brews, and a nice margarita. Normally this is the bit where we change from something nice into why this sucks – but not this time. That’s because of this publish date this is the best-rated tequila overall on this site.
Raspberry Barrel Aged Saison: 8.5 – “The best way to describe this beer is that it just “jives.” A vast majority of the time the barrel ageing process results in a beer dominated by the taste whiskey and not much else. A saison might not be what one first thinks of when one goes to barrel age a beer, but the barrel has been quite kind to the beer in this case. It’s sweet and crisp, with the raspberries revealing themselves in a long satisfying finish. Also, it’s priced more competitively than a lot of its barrel-aged brethren. All around a nice beer to pick up for a special treat.

Alright, time to properly kick off the Whiskey Wednesday section with something that’s not terrible like Stroudwater. We, of course, decided the best course of action was to get on an international flight and pick up something from the duty-free. Since a trip there typically falls onto either an Auchentoshan or Laphraoig and we did Auchentoshan last time – here we go
Cerveza Provisional Farmhouse Ale: 6.0 – The agave aspect of the farmhouse is really nice almost like a sour. Its It’s really nice to drink. Also major props for not only adding agave, but aging in mezcal barrels – it’s nice to see people go beyond just a wine or bourbon barrel for beer aging.

Let’s start off by saying we’re glad that the small distilling and craft distilling businesses are taking off, and recognize that Portland with its craft brewing/distilling should be commended for their efforts. Let’s now move onto the matter at hand which is this garbage gin.
