Tired Hands Trendler Oktoberfest
Trendler Oktoberfest: 3.0 – This says Octoberfest, but where’s the festival? Where’s the damn October? Hell, where is the beer for that matter? Just another bland beer.
Price Average: $5 draft

Monkey Shoulder Blended Scotch Whisky 750mL
We’re continuing our whiskey coverage, and once again like Macallan, we come to a scotch, but a scotch that’s just not good. This was bought because it’s called Monkey Shoulder, and if you are looking for the takeaway it might be to not think a spirit named for a creature that has not and never will exist in that country is a mark of quality. tl;dr (Monkeys =/= Scottish)
Yards Brewing Company Brawler Pugilist Style Ale
Brawler Pugilist Style Ale: 4.0 – This is meant to be sort of an American version of an ESB, but it falls flat in accomplishing that. For something with a bare-knuckle brawl on the front you’d expect the bitter to be ‘there’, but it’s not.
Price Average: $15

Sly Fox Brewing Company Helles Golden Lager
Helles Golden Lager: 6.0 – Pretty good lager, but there’s something off about. Not in a skunked or watered down way, but there’s an aspect that’s hard to define about it.
Price Average: $9 for 6-pack

Suntory Whiskey – Hibiki ‘Japanese Harmony’ 750mL
Credit where it’s due – Suntory and there selection of Japanese whiskies have done more than simply exist, and have left a distinctive flavor and style (albeit a derivative one). The Hibiki is no exception, and while preferred over some others from Suntory – it’s still going to be the Hakushu Distiller’s Reserve for us.
Weyerbacher Sexy Motherpucker Sour Ale
Sexy Motherpucker Sour Ale: 5.5 – You certainly get that tartness and fruit from the citrus and grapefruit, and that alone makes it an enjoyable beer. If you are looking for a true ‘sour’ though you want something very unique above all – more than just a mash of tart fruit.
Price Average: $11 for half-bottle
