Old Chub Scotch Ale: 4.83 (4.5, 5.5, 4.5) – It’s an okay scotch ale, and likely the best scotch ale you can get from a can.

Karbach Weekend Warrior: 6.0 – It’s a nice good pale ale, but aside from some well done balance of hops – it lacks a more distinictive taste and/or flavor.
Google Shop Average: Name $5 for Draft

Samuel Adams Cold Snap: 6.0 – While this is not a great beer, this is good at the thing we mostly like about Sam Adams in that it’s the perfect beer to have the end of a long day.

Boston Brick Red: 5.0 – Just a little too average of a beer. Kind of sad really since you know Sam can sometimes make really good beers.

Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale: 4.5 – So everyone (mostly west-coast) practically jizzes about Stone, and I’m not having it. Add that to a beer saying that I won’t like it because it’s strong and I prefer my Miller and Bud Lites and this beer can go fuck itself. Actually reading the text on the back and I’ll give them that their beer isn’t an arrogant bastard, but they sure are. At the end of the day though I’m here to review beer and this is simply nothing special, and the taste is just an unhoppy balance.

Midnight Brett: 7.5 – It’s a great tasting wild ale, with a nice cherry/berry flavor that is just a little bit tart unlike some other beers which go a little too far. Another well received short-batch from Allagash.

Abita Restoration Pale Ale: 4.0 – Another substandard offering from Abita – I suppose I have to try other beers from them (they have to have done something right). Because even for an American Pale Ale this is kinda tasteless.
Google Shop Average: Abita Restoration Pale Ale $8 for 6-pack

Abita Turbodog: 2.5 – I don’t get why I dislike this beer so much, and while it may actually be closer to a 4 my distaste for it is palpable.

Colette Farmhouse Ale: 6.5 – It’s got a nice sweetness and hoppiness to it, but overall it’s a middling farmhouse ale. It is however very drinkable which makes it a good choice in my book.
Google Shop Average: Colette Farmhouse Ale $19 for Sampler 12-Pack

White Birch Nyx: 8.5 – This is just as good as when it was from the apprentice series, and I’m very glad White Birch picked it up despite this (and now other bottles it seems) heralding a change in White Birch’s color scheme. Overall we were worried about the shift from short-batch-ish to production, but for no reason.
