Proème: 5.0 – So you’re in a bar waiting on some food and you order a beer. It takes the bartender about 15 minutes to do this with no less than 4 stops between as they explain, sorry it’s just like this. So the head is an issue. As for the beer itself, there’s not a majro flavor going on, nor is any aspect executed perfectly. It is aside from a long wait time an average farmhouse saison.

The Conversion: 6.0 – It’s a sour. About as basic a sour as you can get, and the spare point is because it’s well executed enough to not have any glaring issues. There’s nothing too crazy or extremely flavorful going on here sadly.

Mary of the Gael: 7.5 – It is simply a delicious farmhouse ale. No faults, lots of easy flavors, and a nice balance of spice citrus and hops.

Three Cranes: 7.5 – This is a delicious farmhouse ale. If you were afraid that the cranberries would make this too tart and lead it into sour terrority, fret not. It’s subdued but present enough to be tasty, without killing you with tart.

Proteus V: 6.0 – The tangerine isn’t fully working here, but like the others from Styx they know how to make a good farmhouse ale.

Notos: 6.5 – Strawberry saison is certainly an interesting choice. Previously they’ve also had an IPA w/ strawberries and cream, and this while close with the strawberries only adds a touch of sweetness to an otherwise above average farmhouse ale.

Grimm Farmhouse Ale: 6.0 – There’s some banana. A bit of wheat and sour. It ends it’s flavor very quickly, and reminds you more of a german or belgian beer than a farmhouse from Virginia. That being said, it is a good beer.

Life’s Trade: 3.0 – It’s like someone made a shandy with a sour? If that sounds like a really bad concept, guess what – it kinda is. Why would you want a sort-of watered down sour? It’s not a good beer at all.

Cerveza Provisional Farmhouse Ale: 6.0 – The agave aspect of the farmhouse is really nice almost like a sour. Its It’s really nice to drink. Also major props for not only adding agave, but aging in mezcal barrels – it’s nice to see people go beyond just a wine or bourbon barrel for beer aging.

Merica Ale: 7.0 – It’s a nice farmhouse style ale, and the overall taste and drinkability is well done here. The branding is a bit weird though. (like not sure if it’s commentary, pride, or something else)
