Dreaming of Summer: 6.5 – There’s a good orange cirtus flavor to the saison which also feels blood orange. Fruit aside it’s otherwise a very tasty saison.

Fantome Saison: 4.0 – There is just so much head and trouble for this. It’s an overall okay saison, but basically just average. there’s some sweetness and wheat, but it’s not great tasting.

Raspberry Barrel Aged Saison: 8.5 – “The best way to describe this beer is that it just “jives.” A vast majority of the time the barrel ageing process results in a beer dominated by the taste whiskey and not much else. A saison might not be what one first thinks of when one goes to barrel age a beer, but the barrel has been quite kind to the beer in this case. It’s sweet and crisp, with the raspberries revealing themselves in a long satisfying finish. Also, it’s priced more competitively than a lot of its barrel-aged brethren. All around a nice beer to pick up for a special treat.

Ghost Window Saison: 4.0 – Just another subpar saison, not really bringing anything new, novel, or tasty to the table.

My Conversation Saison: 7.5 – There’s a hoppy flavor making it more like an IPA but with no real bitterness. It really gets into your nose though, but I like the taste and the beer overall. Aside from the pleasant sensory overload though, and the fairly good taste I couldn’t exactly tell you why I enjoy this beer as much as I do.

Matt’s Burning Rosids: 2.5 – They say burning in reference to the ‘Cherrywood-Smoked’ aspect, but let’s be real this tastes like when you burn milk in a cheese sauce. I do not like this, and as a tribute to a man I feel this is offensive, especially so if they were cremated.

Avery Brewing Eighteen: 7.0 – The sweetness is just a bit off, but that is as far as Rye beers, or Saisons go – quite good. The dry hopping may have contributed to the complexity here, but I must warn you. When you open this do it inside a sink, I used a standard wall opener and the top third ended up on the floor.

Smuttynose Spank: 8.0 – This is just goddamn delicious – which considering they say as much was cause for concern. It has multiple layers of flavors all good.

Rincon Saison: 5.5 – Nice bit of flavor too it, and the more farmhouse style (as opposed to the supposed belgian style of their blonde) is a welcome addition to the taste here.
