Notch Black Lager: 5.5 – It has more in common with a nutty Lager than a black as far as flavor goes. The color matches, but it’s an okay beer.
Price Average: Notch Black Lager $9 for 6-Pack

Sol: 1.0 – I really wish this was good, just so I could make a bunch of ‘praise the sun’ jokes and drink this while playing Dark Souls – but it’s bad. It’s not tasteless, and it’s a little sweet – but it tastes like what soggy cornbread would taste like.

Allagash 2011 Victor: 4.0 – You can certainly tell this is an ale made with grapes, but unlike interlude it feels less like interlude, and more like someone dropped a single kool-aid package or white wine bottle into a vat of ale. I worry though that this is simply just past it’s prime, so we’ll see if we can get a younger beer.
Price Average: Allagash 2011 Victor $18

Tsingtao Lager: 2.0 – Tsingtao: it’s a slightly more tasteful Heineken. Still not good though, but hey if you’re in a sushi bar – why not, who cares if it’s not even Japanese

Spencer Imperial Trappist Stout: 5.5 – It’s an okay imperial stout, and much like their ale it’s totally servicable. Certainly not worth the hype or price it carries though.
Price Average: Spencer Imperial Trappist Stout $12

Murphy’s Irish Stout: 4.5 – That is a slightly subpar, but otherwise generic as fuck stout. It’s like a less good Guinness in terms of taste/texture, but otherwise meh.

Seven Kingdoms Hoppy Wheat Ale: 4.5 – I was hoping for another Fire and Blood, but this is once again a perfect example of an inoffensive hoppy wheat ale. It doesn’t have much going for it, and even fans of hoppy beers would likely pass it by as something easy to drink, but tasteless outside it’s basic taste.
Price Average: Seven Kingdoms Hoppy Wheat Ale $9

Rolling Rock Extra Pale: 2.0 – Not as tasteless as Heineken, but I think I’m beginning to see a picture – people drink these well known beers at bars because they wish to be drunk and taste nothing.

Total Eclipse: 6.5 – I’m not a huge fan of what most companies do with Rye flavored beers, but I really like how well balanced the taste and flavors are here. My main complaint is that while not being heavy this doesn’t endear itself to wanting to drink more of it (low drinkability I guess)
