Alright, so I’ve actually long been a fan of Cachaca pronounced ‘help me I’m so white’. However since I have really only had less than a handful of brands I didn’t feel it was right to review it you without trying enough to establish a baseline. It’s time however to look into this Brazilian spirit, which you’ll likely find sequestered away in the outskirts of your rum section.

Wolfburn Single Malt Scotch Whisky 750mL
This is a recent revival of an old scotch distillery (one of the largest during it’s time) located on the far north of the Scottish mainland. It’s a story I am glad exists as it’s a nice way to continue the sad story of a scottish distillery closing down. The whiskey itself though is quite nice which is a very critical plot point in that story.
Landy Cognac VS 750mL
Yes fret not we have not forgotten our claim to actually get onto some cognac reviews, and because of a certain aspect of this we can assure you that soon the decanter of cognac in the Buffalo lounge will soon be depleted and require another victim spirit. (No word on the other 21 decanters, because yes the Buffalo does have a problem)
Clontarf 1014 Irish Whiskey 750mL
With Cinco de Mayo this week it’s time once again for the Honest Booze Reviews tradition of mixing up the holiday with St Patrick’s day so we begin with this, which was sadly the only whiskey I could find from Ireland that wasn’t Jameson or Bushmills at my local store. (Thankfully I do go to other stores)
Goslings Black Seal Bermuda Black Rum 750mL
Avid fans of Honest Booze Reviews know that the Buffalo had a penchant for Goslings 151 as it was the easiest way to conjure the drunken spirit from the man. While it’s been a long time since such a spirit was allowed in the Buffalo Lounge’s bar we feel it’s ripe to try the little brother.
Laphroaig 15 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky 750mL
I guess this is now a more Laphroaig return (we had like 7 scotches mostly in a row) starting with Laphroaig recently. This is another gift to the lounge in the form of a 15 year old whisky. While the lounge accepts all gifts, we accept those older than our nieces and nephews happily.
The Original Jesse James America’s Outlaw Bourbon Whiskey 750mL
Alright time get into some good ol’ fashioned bourbon. This week we get something from Jesse James? Okay much like Tenacious D’s famous song this is actually just a tribute. As far as tributes go though this isn’t too bad.
Town Branch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 750mL
This actually is a bourbon used for the barrels of a bourbon aged beer we’ve tried (but not reviewed) that if I’m honest was terrible on account of being too sweet and falling victim to the classic bourbon barrel aged problem that most beers can suffer from. And when the bourbon used is like this instead of it’s hotter 100 proof cousin you can see why.
Heroes Veteran Owned American Vodka 750mL
I have to admit after that last vodka review which was a stupidly cheap vodka I was worried my tastes had faltered and I was just more okay with cheap vodka. Thankfully my tastes are right where I left them and we once again have another unkind (but fair) review of some subpar vodka.
Casino Azul 100% Agave Anjeo 750mL
I was sort of chided for doing too many scotches over the holidays (they were gifts, and yes some were from me to me), so with St Patrick’s Day having passed it was time for some tequila reviews. The last Anejo we’ve had on this site was from Riazul, although technically we had an Anejo rum since then (which is weird)
