Wormtown Brewery Mass Whole Hefeweizen Ale
Wormtown Brewery Mass Whole Hefeweizen Ale: 6.0 – Going a bit local this week. Fairly standard Hefeweizen, but the bit of clove and banana give it a more Fall spice kind of feeling than a summer citrus type of beer. Very good for a late-summer beer.
(from Boston.com, normally if we lack image we just take from their site, but no good pics.)

Huvila ESB
Huvila ESB: 7.0 – I’ve only had 2 other ESB’s and I prefer this one, but I’m not sure if it’s because it’s so unique that it’s better, or if it’s just atypical to ESB. Also this may be our first Finnish beer, and so far it’s gone well for that country.

Mr. Boston Vodka 750mL
If you’ve never heard or seen of Mr. Boston vodka – I ask that next time you go to a package store to look at the very bottom shelf, and most likely stuffed under the shelf on the floor is Mr. Boston – and it seems for good reason.
Buffalo Wine Cellar 2014
No weekly wine this week, instead let’s talk about wine. This won’t be as expansive as last year’s due to me buying wine more often because I’ve already tried it and know I liked it (what a crazy thing wine-tastings are). But sometimes there’s a week or more where I’ve now run out of wine, and didn’t care for what was offered, and also decided to try something new.
Field Guide Latitude Adjustment Farmhouse Ale
Field Guide Latitude Adjustment: 5.0 – This sort of taste a bit like a Hefewiezen than a brown ale, and it lacks that wild yeast characteristic that most farmhouse ales sometimes have. Overall it’s a fine beer, but not one of my favorites even among farmhouse ales.

Berkshire Brewing Company Oktoberfest Lager
Berkshire Brewing Company Oktoberfest Lager: 4.0 – While this is certainly very drinkable in terms of a beer, it’s just not what you want from an Oktoberfest. Sure there’s a bit of the fruit and spices you love, but it’s so muted that it’s like drinking a slightly zestier, but not as good Steel Rail.

Seagram’s Seven Crown Whiskey 750mL
Now see I saw this and thought, hmm likely no relation to the awful Seagram’s Gin we’d done, but no I was wrong, and honestly that makes a lot of sense. Because if you make shitty booze long enough, I suppose aging some of it for a whiskey is certainly do-able.
Berkshire Brewing Company Maibock Lager
Berkshire Brewing Company Maibock Lager: 7.0 – I’ve continued to enjoy BBC’s offerings, at worst their beers are standard, and often than not we get something like this. Now I enjoy Maibocks, and I often wonder why more companies don’t do more beers like it and schwarzbiers – either way this is great Maibock, and you can’t beat the price with a stick.
