When one sees something so commercialized marking itself as pure it begs one to wonder how disillusioned and awful our society has become that we feel the need to specify that such a spirit is indeed ‘purity’ and that we can’t comment since we have honest in our name – shit this monologue got away from us.
Anyway, we end up with a vodka that has become the Russian of choice lately an account of this being a really good mixing vodka. If only it wasn’t too expensive we’d probably buy it again, but alas it will join the heap of vodkas bought for this site, that die on this site.
What they Say: “” (They say nothing)
Taste: 5.5 – It starts off very nice, a major grain like component as well. Seems nice and sweet, but not a neat drinking vodka.
Aftertaste: 3.0 – It then goes off and is almost sort of charcoal and hot sauce like?
Burn/Smooth: 4.0 – You right at the start get a jolt of burn as it first touches, and that continues throughout. However and this is weird for us to say – it is still smooth. Like there’s a weird burning sensation but it’s not the kind of vodka burn that makes you wince or turn your nose up.
Aroma: 6.5 – Purity this is not. Oh sure a bit of cream is there, and it’s not offal (wordplay!) and yes the bits that are bad are very minor, but when your name is purity we take issue.
Honesty: 6.0 – They mercifully don’t say much in the way of text. However, the name and design say a lot. They say this is meant to be a pure spirit with no faults, and it’s not. We will say they look great though, and while that name of purity is as expected bunk – good on them.
Mixability: 7.25
Vodka Tonic: 7.0 – It’s a reasonably tasty V&T. You remove the burn, get the right amount of taste, and it’s damn good.
White Russian: 7.5 – Alright that is actually quite delicious. Very delicious. Well done
Value: 5.0 – So this looks rad as hell, and mixes just as good. However, it is not what it says on the tin – pure. There are many faults here all niggling, and if the price was just 1/3 lower it could be a worthwhile vodka.

Final Thoughts: The disparity here is once again the result of objectively reviewing something, and having already bought this it’s actual usage and enjoyment. Because we already paid the money we can’t hate something we put into a good cocktail every now and then, but honestly, this isn’t pure, and it’s not worth your time.
