What we have here is much like a snow leopard. Powerful and beautiful, but there are certainly some spots. (Get it?) Before we begin or get into the spirit itself we’ll let them lead by example and before the fold ask you to give to the Snow Leopard Trust to save an endangered species: https://www.snowleopard.org/

Blue Ice American Potato Vodka 750mL
Another day, another short batch style American vodka made from the humble potato. Now to make one thing clear – while this might come from some blue ice (doubtful in Idaho), the vodka is not blue. If that leaves you feeling blue, however – perk up, because this mixes like a champ.
American Anthem Vodka
We turn this time to a vodka from the homeland, not the motherland. With a good ol’ fashioned red, white, and blue vodka that isn’t afraid of showing it. Let’s not kid ourselves this isn’t going to sell well in let’s say Vietnam, and it’s almost a bit too shouty, but it does give a minor amount to charity and that’s something.
Everest Original Freeze 750mL
If you are looking for vodka that works well in a creamy white Russian- this is a good vodka. If that’s all you want or need to know, best to stop here and leave. This vodka has a series of various faults, but we are honour bound to speak truth to its capabilities.
Ocean Organic Vodka 750mL
We didn’t actually plan this ahead of time or after the fact (we’re not actually supervillains living in a volcano lair), but we feel it would be in poor taste to not address the current issue facing Hawaii with regards to earthquakes and eruptions and the loss of peoples homes. We’ll have a link to help after the fold, but in truth, we bought this because it looked like a mana potion.
Belvedere Vodka (Product RED Edition) 750mL
Time for a vodka review that you’d think we’d have already clearly done – but we haven’t. Yes up there among the Ciroc and the Grey Goose is a Polish vodka known for being skinny and having trees and a French sounding name.
Zubrowka ZU Bison Grass Vodka 500mL
It has been a lot longer than we thought since we reviewed a Bison Grass vodka. Bak’s was way so long ago back in 2011, a time before so many things went wrong. While that was creamy and mixed rather well, here we get less bison grass, and more – grass? Okay it’s not a perfect metaphor, but in short this has some earthy ‘ness’ to it, but that’s not really a good thing.
Ravo Vodka 750mL
With the recent success of Hanger 1 we figured it was time to try another under-used region of the world and see if their offering was up-to-snuff. What we found was good, but just not in the same batting range. Ravo has a lot about that’s good, but there’s no single element that makes it pop like Hanger 1’s mixability.
Hanger 1 Vodka 750mL
Because of this spirit we had to read the words ‘spanked’ sage leaves in a cocktail recipe – and by extension so have you now. That being done this vodka is a bit of an oddball. There’s an almost botanical smell, but a sweet sugar like aftertaste. However that combo of uniqueness does have a very nice side effect. Which is how this mixes – always bringing some A-Game to cocktails. Although not ones with ‘spanked’ sage as we’d never do that.
Vladivar Triple Distilled Vodka 1L
Vladivar – baby don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me, no more. (Not apologizing for that joke because it was awesome). We said that there would be more gin on this UK trip and trust me there will be a month of gin reviews. Before we dive into that though we needed to talk about this vodka. It was a random buy for a vodka sauce (no seriously) which explains why it looks like a cheap random old USSR country vodka.
