We’ve tried it spiced, but how does it fare clear? In short, it’s better, but then that bar was already on the lower side. You can already see the massive amount of sugarcane imparted into this spirit that will eventually mellow and ruin its spiced cousin. You can actually enjoy this in cola though so at least it has that going for it.

Mahr’s Brau Bamberger Original Ungespundet-Hefetrub Lager
Ungespundet-Hefetrub: 6.5 – There’s not been a lot of lagers here of late, and that is by no means our fault. It is nice to have one again even if the name is so unprounecable it might as well be gibberish. As for the beer itself, it’s malty and nutty and delicious. The overall taste is a bit short, but we suspect that’s intentional to have you drink a lot.

Evil Genius ‘Sliding into the DMs’ White Chocolate Mocha Latte Ale
Sliding into the DMs: 6.5 – Dammit. That’s actually pretty damn delicious. Much like a guilty pleasure White Chocolate Mocha Latte from the ‘Bucks this is something enjoyable, but holy fuck is it pretentious. This honestly might have the most cringey name for a beer we’ve ever seen, but we can’t deride it for being wasteful, because it is actually tasty – despite it being not very beer-y.

Grainger’s Deluxe Vodka 750mL
Happy memorial day folks, in honor of the American holiday we figured we should get something all American. However much like a lot of stuff going on in America right now, this is just really not as good as we’d like it to be. Hey, at least it’s gluten-free and organic because that’s what we look for in juice that makes you vomit among other bad decisions.
Zywiec 1881 Porter
Zywiec 1881 Porter: 7.0 – It’s very malty, and there’s a twinge of spice akin to cayenne that reminds you of a mexican hot cocoa alongside the other roasted malt flavor. Overall it’s a delicious porter. There’s no faults, and while the final aftertaste is a bit ‘bland’ it has other flavors to help it out.

Gordon & MacPhail – Miltonduff 10 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky 750mL
This was purchased for a friend as a Christmas gift, it was given to them in late April and then (among another 2 gifts) was forgotten here. So having taken some initial notes the night before, and a follow-up glass we bring you something unique. However much like that bent fork in your silverware drawer that you hate but won’t throw out, there are some downsides.
Evil Genius ‘I Love Lamp’ Pineapple Hefeweizen
I Love Lamp: 5.0 – If you came here signed up for pineapple, you are at least in luck – it is there. However the initial taste of the beer with it’s muted spices feels more like an ale mixed with pineapple juice. It’s not great almost like a nothing beer despite this flavor, but it does give way to a classic pineapple aftertaste. The main problem is that those who like pineapple alot will be disappointed alongside those who like beer – should be fun for a BBQ sauce though.

Bacardi Black Carta Negra Superior Rum 750mL
Bacardi has graced our shores a few times, and whether it comes Gold, White, Spiced, of screaming in hellfire they’ve always had a slight around average rum. So we were expecting more of the same for the black. Of course, we knew it would be no Kraken, but what actually poured into the glass was truly surprising. It was utter shit.
