Dynasty Spirits Tower Vodka 750mL

Now as part of our review process we include the website. This is mostly so that if you want to hear more, or see other things said spirit company makes you can easily do so. Typically finding this is well – easy. Occasionally it’s on the bottle, but often a quick good search will work despite sites to buy stuff cluttering it up. In trying to find this though what we found was Dynasty Spirits and most often them being in a few legal jumbo around copycats – which given us thinking this was a knockoff Tito’s pretty much nailed the screw to the board. Given that fact was not a great start considering we at best consider Tito’s to be – average.

No we’re not here to say that this is intentional designed to knockoff Tito’s – we’re not a court. We are here to say that at least Tito’s can mix halfway decent and doesn’t cause literal wincing if drunk straight. That is not the case here, and despite the awards on that little tag (all suspiciously from 2017 in what seems like a media blitz/payoff) we can assure you that if there is a ‘debate’ of Tower vs Tito’s – Tower is the loser. However if that’s the fight – maybe try – a better vodka altogether? (Not sorry Texas)

What they Say: “Small Town Craft. Standing Tall. Tower Vodka

Long before we ever had had a town to call home, this the highest point in a series of rolling hills. ‘The Pilot’s Point’ is what they called it the perfect vantage point to turn big dreams into reality. A lot has changed since then, but our people never stopped fighting to stay on top. Our story is shaped by generations of honest, hard-working folks who remain dedicated to doing things the right way. That’s why we make our vodka in micro-batches with only the best ingredients. Because whatever you’re selling , if you’re putting Pilot Point on the label, it better tower above the rest.”

Taste: 6.0 – At first it’s not so bad, there’s not a lot of taste or flavor going on, but that’s fine for a vodka.

Aftertaste: 3.5 – There’s almost a sort of wheat-y vibe here (even though it’s corn); however every attempt top judge a taste is lost to the all encompassing burn.

Burn/Smooth: 0.5 – That’s what we call a BtBB – a Bang The Bar Burn. It is horrendous. This is the kind of burn that if you make someone try this vodka they start to think maybe they should never ever have vodka straight, because no part of that was good.

Aroma: 3.0 – Well there’s no mistaking that doesn’t smell like cheap vodka – because it does. However it could be far worse and it’s while it smells like cheap vodka it doesn’t offend the senses to the point of burning or regret.

Honesty: 2.5 – If this was distilled 6 times, maybe do 12 or something – because jeez. They are damn lucky they don’t say some shit like smooth or clean or whatever because we’d take them to church, sit their ass down, and explain why what they’ve done is a sin. Given the info we found trying to get to a damn website though, and the overall vibe it’s not like they were gonna score high here regardless.

Mixability: 4.75

Vodka Tonic: 4.5 – It’s brief, but you do catch just a tiny whiff of that burn before the tonic comes in to save you. There’s even some amount of flavor which we guess was hiding there. It is overall a passable affair.

White Russian: 5.0 – That also has just a reminder in the back that there is still burn here. The flavor though complements the white russian so it brings it up to okay.

Value: 3.0 – We got this on sale for 2 bucks less, making it a sum total of 10 dollars. We feel ripped off. Click our stats page below and you can find a handful or two of vodkas that are also at this price range, but don’t suck. This is only getting 3 points because despite not being worth 12 bucks, it is only 12 bucks.

Final Thoughts: With it nearing summer and the temperature rising here in the NOHE (northern hemisphere and also a bad joke) our only hope is that maybe if we jam enough fruit, run this through a Britta filter, maybe we could use it a summery cocktail without much complaint – because as-is we already deeply regret our purchase. Well we don’t fully regret it, insomuch that if anything this review might warn people to avoid the Tower.

  1. OMG! The review is comical, yet on point. I work at a wine store which I don’t want to say but you know which one lol They make us sell this Crap in place of Tito’s Its has a lower price point so people Don’t care.. they only want cheap price, plus the sales guys do a good job with the story about the guy who owns tower, I guess he used to work for Tito,s

  2. My wife bought Tower thinking that bevause she heard that it was Tito ex employees were making a “Tito” vodka at a cheaper price. She drank the koolaid. She should have bought the koolaid.
