It’s odd for this review to exist, because ultimately it doesn’t matter too much how the vodka inside this tastes. You wanted some monkey shot glasses and figure, well some vodka to go with it is just fine too. We could say that it’s a bit pricy for a gimmick, and that unfortunately the vodka is pretty poor – but really that doesn’t matter, it’s not going to stop people from giving them money – ahh well.
The problem here is that having been given a shot glass for a vodka you would think at the very least this is fine straight, but it’s not. Despite some good flavor it just kicks you like a monkey throwing poo at your face. Compound that with the price for that custom bottle and this barely mixing and it’s – well still irrelevant because again – the people who would buy this *are* going to buy this.

Taste: 6.0 – You get a tiny bit of wheat here, but it’s overall pretty flavorless.
Aftertaste: 5.0 – Here though that burn kicks in, and while there’s some creamy taste to help it along – it’s not great.
Burn/Smooth: 3.0 – That is in fact – quite terrible. Sure there’s been worse vodkas on this site, but fuck this is bad.
Aroma: 5.0 – Coming from a custom made bottle you sort of expect this to be better. It’s not. It’s not bad, but merely – okay.
Honesty: 8.0 – They say nothing, and they have a cool monkey head for a bottle (ours came in a pack with matching shot glasses). At the end of the day, they do well here but fall short of perfection by virtue of being a gimmick – albeit a neat one.
Mixability: 5.0
Vodka Tonic: 4.5 – While it’s not bad, there’s just so little to make this good. It’s just an overall subpar cocktail.
White Russian: 5.5 – Overall it’s not bad, but considering the right vodka can make a Russian (and only that) stellar, this does little.
Value: 2.0 – Nope. Nadda. Sorry. You pay this much because you want a bottle that looks like a monkey. And FUCK. THAT. GIMMICK.

Final Thoughts: There’s some disparity there between the scores which can be wholly attributed to the mindset of ‘would this ever be bought by us again?’ which if you’ve not read between the lines (Or the actual lines as written) is – No. This reminds us of another skull based beverage – Crystal Head, which was also pretty bad, but at least THAT could make a more than halfway decent cocktail – clearly the result of evolution.
