Berliner Weisse Watermelon: 3.5 – Call us suckers, but based on that image this beer should have watermelon in it. Indeed it does, but there’s a tart aspect that’s sort of a quarter-sour-power that kinda spoils the whole thing. It really lacks that sort of nice sharp sweetness a watermelon has, and you wish it was more fruit shandy like instead of a meh sour.

Gneiss Brewing Co. Weisse: 6.5 – A nice bit of banana, but an otherwise light and easy drinking beer with not much else going on.

Maisel’s Weisse: 5.5 – it’s an okay bier but its almost whisper of flavor paired with a bit too much lightness makes it easy to drink. The downside there is that it stops it from being a great beer.

Braubacker Berliner Weisse: 4.0 – I know that this is the kind of beer that beer nerds would go crazy for over the complexity of its sour flavor. Overall though at the end of the day – it’s just not an enjoyable beer.
