Bijoux: 7.5 – Actually a slightly mellow sour (likely the aging), but does not skimp on the sour (the mellow comes on the backend) Overall it’s a pretty nice, complex, and fruity sour.

Le Seul XVII: 7.5 – Pineapple and watermelon – well sure, but don’t for a second think this wild ale will be like other beers that state things like pineapple and/or watermelon on the bottle. This thing is bonkers tasting, and sure you certainly get more pineapple like it’s coming out of your ears, but this truly tastes unlike any other ‘fruit + beer’ combo than you’ve likely had, and for those that care for it – a dream.

Sourdough Wild Ale: 6.0 – This is light and nice because of the rye aspects. However when you start adding that sourdough component it simply adds a bunch of ‘bread’ to this which causes it to falter.

Wild Rivulet: 9.0 – Once again there’s proof that a combo of Oxbow and Allagash can not do you wrong, but this even then is special. It’s akin to drinking a magic potion with it’s crazy fruit and tartness that gives way to nice smoothness. It’s a fucken fantastic wild ale.

Haviken: 6.0 – Really has a massive head, but like a sour there’s a good brett component, and it’s very potent and strong in flavor, but is otherwise good.

Allagash Coolship Resurgam: 8.0 – It’s a wild beer, and that really captures it. It’s sour at certain points, but has lightness and depth and never veers badly, but just has layers of flavours that complement. It’s really quite nice.

Firestone Walker Bretta Rose Wild Ale : 6.5 – If you are looking for a nice sour and tart beer that doesn’t go so far that you pucker in disgust? This might be your match, my only complaint is that in terms of complexity, body, or other flavors – it’s kind of a one note sour + tartness.

Midnight Brett: 7.5 – It’s a great tasting wild ale, with a nice cherry/berry flavor that is just a little bit tart unlike some other beers which go a little too far. Another well received short-batch from Allagash.

Ommegang Wild at Heart: 6.5– This is a very flavorful and tasty wild yeast beer, and doesn’t seem to have any drawbacks, but it’s fairly standard as far as unique yeast beers go.
