I’ve never had vodka from Lithuania, but following the rules that the closer it is to Russia, this should be better than some of the Polish vodkas I’ve had. Taking it straight though is a different matter, because this is yet again another budget vodka review.
How then does this fare – i mean I bought it simply because about the only words I could make out from the front was vodka. Then it does something that made me appreciate it a bit more, but I’ll leave that too the metrics.
What they Say: “’Tsarsky Pokrov’ original vodka is the state patronage, which contains quality, classical taste and old traditions of production. Real vodka. Purified by silver.”
Taste: 9.0 – It’s somehow a perfect blend of crisp and cream in the beginning. I honestly just keep wanting more of that taste.
Aftertaste: 4.0 – Sadly though it stops and we sort of get back to the cheap vodka taste – however it’s not as harsh because it lacks a kick.
Burn/Smooth: 4.0 – It lacks a real burn, it’s not exactly what I’d call smooth
Aroma: 3.0 – Well yeah, the price kind of sealed the fate of how that would smell.
Honesty: 8.0 – They don’t really wank, and simply stating real vodka is perfectly in line with them. Also this was purified by silver, but it’s not flaunting it or calling it a silver version like some other folks would.
Mixability: 5.33
W/ Rocks: 3.0 – Sadly this sort of waters it, and then blends it together – so much for a sipping vodka.
Screwdriver: 6.0 – This is an okay driver.
White Russian: 7.0 – At least this make a good russian.
Value: 6.5 – I really wish just that aftertaste wasn’t as bad – because even w/o ice this would become a goto sipping vodka at that price. As it stand it’s not bad for russians, and I may be doing a taste test to see which I prefer over Three Olives.

Final Thoughts: I do wish that this was just a bit better on the afterburner, but if it makes russians just as good it may actually become my new vodka of choose. Stay tuned and I’m liable to update after doing a comparison test.
I decided to try this Vodka, based on how superb Lithuanian beer tastes. It tastes great, not much burn though. But I feel lousy half way through a glass of it, and awful the following morning. This was a first, for feeling ill from vodka.
this is not real Lithuanian vodka.this is budget vodka similar to Skol for students. try Lietuviska Auksine. especially Black edition.
