Wormtown DDark Roasted: 6.0 – No surprise but that is some serious coffee. I like that Wormtown like with table talk is collaborating with people as it does up their game. However this is really for people who want coffee, but also want to get drunk w/o whiskey.
Price Average: $7
The Dalmore has always been in the peripheral vision when a Glenfiddich review comes up, but it’s here for a slightly odd reason. Namely the recent movie release of Kingsman 2, of which the first film had a mention of a special version of the Dalmore Whisky – which is how we end up here.
(Happy Christmas btw folks!)
Samuel Adams Winter Lager: 4.0 – It calls out orange peel, cinnamon, and ginger – and you can sort of get that. Problem is, it doesn’t make it good, or feel very wintery. It feels like someone added that stuff to a vat of Boston Lager, and called it a day.
Price Average: $8 for 6-pack
Mangonada: 7.0 – The tropical fruit flavoring here is very well done. It ups the game of what could have been an overhopped lager into a delightful beverage that I personally can attest goes well with a good thai curry.
Price Average: $8
We genuinely feel the need to apologize folks. We knew getting into a 2 month or so whiskey bender that there would be a few stinkers, but if the last weeks have been bad – there’s no salvation here. This however goes out of it’s way beyond just being mediocre or overpriced to tasting downright awful.
