Hopback: 5.0 – It’s an okay amber ale, the flavor of the hops is nicely malted but not super bitter. Overall though it’s fairly benign, and it’s not much to write home (or on this site) about.

The Mad Elf: 5.5 – Has a bit of an ESB style beer to it, but it’s overall a very unique Christmas style ale – leaning heavily on the cinnamon and clove and other spices. The bit of cherry to this is what makes it a little more than just a pure xmas spice beer – though it still suffers from the fate of really only wanting like 1 of these a season.

Troegs Chocolate Stout: 5.5 – If you really like chocolate and you seriously meant that – this is for you. This might as well be cocoa, and while not my thing I can respect it’s taste. Honestly this should come with a real warning label about how chocolate it actually is compared to other chocolate stouts.
