Aging whiskey in red wine barrels isn’t as common compared to beers, or even to sherry casking, but as we’ve seen before with Blood Oak, the effect is solid enough that more should give it a shot. Luckily Agitator makes wine, so them doing this makes – well a lot of sense. The question though is whether this soak in an old barrel has done anything to improve the whiskey, or just made it a slight shade of red.
Ghost Species: 8.5 – That truly is a near perfectly balance sour ale that’s been aged in wine barrels. Normally we’re a bit more middle-y, but this is quite frankly too well executed. It’s also incredibly delicious.

Well I had a recent stint across the pond, and a load of time at the airport before my return. So of course I walked around the duty-free shop looking for something neat that I’ve not seen in a local store.
