Alright enough scotch, back to vodka (we should consider a gin binge). This time we go back once again to my least favorite friend, the bottom shelf. Because when you know you are buying ingredients for russians, the idea of a 10 dollar vodka seems enticing. You remember though that in most cases it may be 10 dollars, but it’s not 10 dollars well spent.

Island Brewing Company Kolsch
Island Kolsch: 5.0 – A nice kolsch style beer, for a blonde it’s actually quite good, but for a kolsch-style it’s not great.
Google Shop Average: Island Kolsch $5 draft

Tank 7 Boulevard Farmhouse Ale/Saison
Tank 7 Boulevard: 7.0 – A really nice saison with a lot of complexity to its flavor. I am a major fan of this saison.
Google Shop Average: Name $7 draft

Johnnie Walker Explorers’ Club: The Spice Road 1L
As the 1L marker may indicate – this review is a little special. I was recently traveling through London (and apparently will return, so expect a new segment on London pubs to hit this site), and on the way home after some successful business I got myself some duty-free scotch. Of course with many options I couldn’t resist another entry from the Walker line.
Guns and Oil Maverick Lager
Maverick Lager: 4.0 – Really light for a lager overall, and the taste is just really standard, Even worse you expect more from a beer company called Guns and Oil. Like this should have been so powerful a weak human couldn’t even handle it. and yet it’s about as strong as a feather.
Google Shop Average: Maverick Lager $7 draft

Franconia Kolsch
Franconia Kolsch: 3.0 – This is a really bland taste. Honestly this tastes like stale cereal.
Google Shop Average: Franconia Kolsch $6 draft

Glen Moray Classic Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 750mL
This scotch was actually a recommendation to me by a friend as his favorite budget single malt. My current has been Deanston, and in truth I can understand his reasoning. The problem is that in terms of scotch I’m a highland and Islay kind of man, and while a Speyside or Lowland is always welcome – it’s just not what gets my blood pumping.
Casamigos’ Reposado Tequila 750mL
Well they can’t all be winners. Darn once again in an effort to express honest opinions we’ve given the review away. Yes folks this is a tequila that I thankfully picked up a small bottle for while it was cheap in New Hampshire, because quite frankly if I paid a full price for this I would be nothing short of enraged.
