Harviestoun Old Engine Oil Black Ale

Old Engine Oil Black Ale: 6.0 – That tastes exactly like you would expect a beer called old engine oil to taste like. It goes down easy – there’s a bit of porter flavor, it’s nearly flat in carbonation, and the color is exact. If honest I am not actually a huge fan of the beer drink wise, but I admire the honesty in the name to bump it up a point.

Alberta Rye Dark Batch Whisky 750mL

Hey folks for the next few weeks we’ll be doing a whole bunch of whiskies back to back. We’ll change up the type to make it interesting though. As for this we arrive at another Canadian Rye, this one of a more darker variety. I’m not sure if this was aged or caramel color added to achieve it’s dark color and name, but the process (and sherry) has taken it’s toll on the whiskey itself.

McEwan’s Scotch Ale

McEwan’s Scotch Ale: 4.0 – So there was a scotch ale (which is a beer type I adore) that we mostly hated – called Wet Willy. Now that was actually hated simply because it was so basic and average. However this is more like Old Chub, not only is it a not good scotch ale – it’s actively bad. However take that 4 score with the mindset that even a bad scotch ale is still just a supbar beer.

Cazadores Tequila Reposado Tequila 750mL

Here we have a tequila with a deer on it. That makes no more sense to me than it does to you friend. (Okay I mean to be fair the white tailed deer does actually live all across America from Canada to Mexico, but in a choice of those 2 countries you would take Canada every time) Any way not to spoil the review, but this is actually a tequila that we like in case you were worried considering how we’ve been bashing them lately.
