Allagash Saison: 7.0 – It’s like a nice spicy Allagash White – which is very much not anything against it. This is certainly very drinkable as far as spiced beers go, but it’s not as powerful as some others I’ve had and prefer.

Allagash Bourbon Barrel Black: 8.5 – Continuing this week with amazing beers we get Allagash’s Bourbon Barrel Black which is their Black but aged in Bourbon Barrels. Now when we toured the Allagash brewery they mentioned they were doing this, and our thought was what sexual favours would be the best suited to get us a barrel. But alas we waited, and boy was it worth it. This beer is dark, and unlike other barrel aged beers, it gets it fucken right.

Allagash White: 7.0 – As far as a white ale goes, this is the standard we should all shoot for. Allagash’s white and black simply put are what all beer company’s should strive to have. A mainstay beer that is so good, but so drinkable and available that it spoils you. You think of the beer as par, and only when you venture out do you find out how misguided you’ve been.

Allagash FV-13: 9.0 – This is by far one of the weirdest beers I’ve ever had, and also one my favorites. It’s kindred spirit is Allagash’s Interlude with it’s wine combo taste, but this is like a tier above. If I had a problem with this beer is that it was a limited short batch, and aside from a rare occurrence you will likely never find it. If you do, please contact me.

Allagash Black Belgian Stout: 8.8/10 – Just really really good. I <3 BEER. It’s dark and creamy, but still flavorful. Considering it’s cheaper than the other two it’s surprising how great this is, even among other stouts. This is what you want from beer, big flavor, a creamy head, and dark richness. We couldn’t be happier.

Allagash Curiex: 5.9/10 – Not bad at all it’s just not strong or really outstanding though. It smooth and creamy but it lacks taste. You’d expect with a beer aged in bourbon barrels to have an oak-y taste and with that much power you’d want a really strong beer, but this feels so week.

Allagash Four Ale: 7.8/10 – Complex, and we really can’t get away from that. It’s very rich in flavor and is quite tasty for a beer. We really don’t think to apply the word complex to a beer, but that is exactly what’s going on here. We really enjoy this beer and we wonder why more beers don’t offer beers this complex by blending.
