Oxbow Infinite Darkness: 7.0 – That’s a hell of a lot of stout. It’s a bit too heavy on the alchohol content though as it’s too obvious despite the flavors that are going on here. Overall it’s still quite tasty though. 7.0 $7

2016 Hibernal Fluxus Rye: 6.0 – It’s not remotely like what you expect from Allagash’s fluxus, but that’s okay. It is a delicious stout, well balanced in terms of flavor, and is beyond easy to drink.

Smuttynose Zennike: 6.0 – This is one of my favorite beers. Certainly a great stout, and it’s got such a great deal of flavor. It balances this though by not being too powerful or rich or heavy that would turn the beer into an ordeal.

Allagash Black Belgian Stout: 8.8/10 – Just really really good. I <3 BEER. It’s dark and creamy, but still flavorful. Considering it’s cheaper than the other two it’s surprising how great this is, even among other stouts. This is what you want from beer, big flavor, a creamy head, and dark richness. We couldn’t be happier.
